2nd Congress "For the sake of education"

On 1-2 July this year. The 2nd Congress "For the sake of education" was held at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. During the congress, numerous meetings, discussions and debates were held, and the participants discussed broadly understood problems related to the organization of education in Poland.

The opening lecture of the Congress was given by prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Gromkowska-Melosik, dr hc. WSB University.

During the congress there were 7 discussion panels:

• Paradoxes of the relationship between theory and practice in education and school.
  Moderators: dr hab. Slawomir Trusz prof. AWSB, dr hab. Marek Walancik prof. AWSB, Dr. Beata Karpińska-Musiał UG.
  Participants: dr hab. Tomasz Huk prof. University of Silesia, Dr. Paulina Koperna (UP), Barbara Tkocz, MA (PhD student at AWSB).

• "There is not one education, not even two - there are many"
  Moderator: Magdalena Giercarz-Borkowska UO.

• The paradoxes of adult learning and the paradoxes of the roles of their educators
  Moderators: dr hab. Zofia Szarota, prof. AWSB, dr hab. Agnieszka Stopińska-Pająk, prof. AWSB.

• Paradoxes of old age

• Childhood paradoxes
  Moderators: prof. dr hab. Mirosława Nowak-Dziemianowicz WSB Academy, dr hab. Eugenia Rostańska, prof. AWSB.
  Participants: Anna Blokus, MA - Szkodzińska Ateneum Academy in Gdańsk, Dagmara Górecka, MA, PhD student at AWSB.

• Rehabilitation paradoxes
  Moderators: prof. dr hab. Marek Konopczyński UB, dr hab. Margaret Michel prof. Jagiellonian University
  Participants: Aga Valentino, Joanna Baran.

• Paradoxes of vocational education
  Moderators: prof. dr hab. Stefan Kwiatkowski APS, dr Beata Mydłowska Social and Medical University in Warsaw.

As part of the Congress, there was also a meeting and discussion panel with Katarzyna Ryrych on: "A completely different fairy tale" as a literary patch for children in transition.
