The final of the Entrepreneurs for Tomorrow - Silesian Sustainable Business Summer University took place on 28 July 2023 at the Factory of Life in Dąbrowa Górnicza. This prestigious event was organised by WSB University as part of the SPINAKER - Intensive international education programme, funded by NAWA.
Throughout the intensive week, students participated in lectures, study visits and group work to develop business ideas based on the Sustainable Development Goals. Their innovative projects were presented in front of an international panel of experts and an audience gathered at the event.
A jury of international experts, representatives from business, higher education and NGOs judged the presentations of the students, who had only six minutes to communicate their idea in the form of a 'pitch'. This was quite a challenge as they had to cope with the pressure of time, the complexity and sophistication of their projects and answer questions from the experts.
The students presented innovative ideas such as "Red Cherris" - an app to promote the purchase of fruit and vegetables from local suppliers and individuals, and "AutoMate" - a system that automates the external processes of small and medium-sized enterprises, and many others.
Winning projects:
- Insect Farm - providing food for people and animals.
- Application providing support for people with disabilities.
- A platform to facilitate easy and fast transportation of goods, operating on a C2C basis.
The stationary part of the Entrepreneurs for Tomorrow summer school has come to an end, but the participants still have two days of online classes ahead of them, during which they will summarise the projects they have created and their stay in Poland together with experts.
