Among the universities visited were Lagos State University (a leading university in Nigeria), Namibia University of Science and Technology (one of the fastest growing technical universities in Southern Africa) and North West University in South Africa (one of the top ten universities in Africa).
During the meeting with Professor Olufunsho Omobitan, Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, issues of developing mobility programs for students and academic staff were discussed. They also discussed strengthening cooperation in social science research and mutual programs to develop the internationalization of both universities.
The visit to the Namibia University of Science and Technology was an opportunity to develop ideas for capacity building projects in higher education. It was also agreed to establish a joint intensive training program in sustainable development for students from Namibia and Poland.
The development of scientific research and implementation projects was the subject of the meeting at the North West University. Both sides declared a continuous increase in the activities they have been carrying out in this area for several years.
