Where to submit the application?
The application should be printed out, carefully filled in, signed and submitted with the required documents in paper form to the Department of Material Assistance, room 306.
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Affairs submit their applications to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Foreign Affairs.
Applications can also be mailed to the following address:

Who can apply?
Foreign students who can apply for a maintenance grant and a student loan:
- hold a permanent residence permit or are long-term residents of the EU;
- hold a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Article 159.1 or Article 1861 point 3 or 4 of the Act on Foreigners;
- have refugee status awarded in the Republic of Poland or enjoy temporary protection or subsidiary protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- have a certificate confirming their knowledge of Polish as a foreign language – C1 language proficiency level or higher;
- have a Pole’s Card or a decision confirming Polish descent;
- are the spouse, ascendant or descendant of a citizen of the Republic of Poland, living on the territory of the Republic of Poland.
Who will receive the maintenance grant?
Everysummer student whose income per person in the family does not exceed PLN 1 570.50 net.
When and where to apply?
- in the winter semester applications must be submitted from 15 September to 31 October,
- in the summer semester applications must be submitted from 15 February to 31 March
What is the amount of the maintenance grant?
in the winter semester 2024/2025 the monthly amount of the maintenance grant ranged from PLN 2 130 – PLN 2 360 per month.
Remember! Each semester the amount of the maintenance grant may change.
The Rector’s scholarship, the scholarship for disabled persons, the maintenance grant and the allowance:
Can be granted during first-cycle, second-cycle studies and long-cycle studies, but no longer than for a period of 12 semesters (including first-cycle studies - not longer than 9 semesters; in second-cycle studies - not longer than 7 semesters).
cannot be granted to a student holding the following degrees:
- Master’s degree, Master of Engineering degree or equivalent,
- Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent if he / she resumes the first-cycle studies.
The rules apply to the holders of degrees awarded abroad.
In accordance with the Regulations for the Granting of Benefits for Students of the WSB University of September 30, 2019. § 35 point 2 If the student submits documents in a language other than Polish, it is required to submit a translation by a sworn translator.
